Warmly welcome to my practice.
I am an OMT physiotherapist with 35 years of clinical experience and extensive professional continuing education, as well as a Matrix Movement Specialist (movement analysis, performance tests).
During my 3.5 years of OMT advanced training, I have specialized in all musculoskeletal problems, from head to toe. Patients seek my care for symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, neck, upper and lower back pain, nerve-related limb symptoms (sciatica, entrapment syndromes), temporomandibular joint problems, and SI joint (pelvis) dysfunctions. I also treat post-operative clients, utilizing lymphatic therapy principles when needed.
My working methods are based on clinical examination, strong knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics, precise testing and analysis of body posture, movement, and performance in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. I have also completed advanced training in neurological diseases such as MS or Parkinson's. I am passionate about my work. I observe the body's function holistically, even if pain or dysfunction appears in only one anatomical structure. My goal is to find the true cause of pain or dysfunction, as the client can describe the symptom themselves upon arrival. I always do my best to ensure that the client learns something new about their body and its function during their visit with me.
In my practice, I use a combination of manual therapy and exercise therapy with various OMT physiotherapy methods. Manual therapy provides an initial boost to alleviate pain and improve movement and/or reduce fear of movement. Hands-on treatment can not only assist the biomechanical function of joints, nerve tissues, and myofascial structures but also reduce body tension and identify more optimal posture and movement. Gradually, Kinetic Control (posture and movement control) or The Performance Matrix testing and training can be started, always considering the client's needs and wishes. With individualized and progressive training, learned skills can be transferred to work, daily activities, and hobbies, and reduce the risk of symptom recurrence. Effective and high-quality self-training is ensured through repeated testing and support for the learning process.
My lifelong, diverse athletic background is an asset in my work. It helps me understand the challenges of training for active exercisers and competitive athletes. I am involved in competitive dance coaching groups and youth javelin throwing. The "low threshold recruitment" and "high threshold recruitment" testing and exercises I perform for recreational exercisers and competitive athletes almost invariably improve the performance of the individual being examined. The sport does not matter if you need a precise movement analysis of yourself.
