I am an individual psychotherapist specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy. My foundational education is a Master of Theology. I have diverse experience in mental health and crisis support work across various social and healthcare services with adolescents, young adults, and individuals of working and retirement age. For the last seven years, I have worked in specialized psychiatric care.
I accept clients over the age of 16 for both short-term and long-term therapy. I offer individual support and counseling sessions, short-term psychotherapy through occupational health services, psychotherapy periods covered by insurance companies, as well as Kela-reimbursed rehabilitation psychotherapy.
You are welcome to an introductory or counseling visit. In psychotherapy, the goals and working methods are agreed upon individually based on the person's needs and situation, in collaboration with the client. This is based on a behavioral analysis. Together, we can explore what kind of change you are looking for in your life to increase your well-being and live a good life that is true to you. I use a wide range of cognitive-behavioral therapy methods, including self-observation, behavioral activation, exposure, mindfulness and relaxation exercises, and skills training. My approach is active and goal-oriented.
A safe and confidential collaborative relationship is the foundation that allows the client to be themselves, enabling us to examine situations perceived as difficult and the feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that arise from them. Clarifying one's own values and acting in accordance with them helps in accepting the difficult aspects of life and focusing on what is important to oneself and on one's own strengths. A general goal is that the skills practiced in therapy become an established part of the client's broader life.
Sessions are also available remotely. A warm welcome to my practice!
