I am a psychologist and an individual psychotherapist with an integrative framework. For the majority of my career as a psychologist, I have worked in the youth psychiatry sector in both outpatient and inpatient settings with adolescents, young adults, and their guardians and other support networks. This has given me an understanding of the impact of developmental history on mental well-being and personality development.
I have also worked extensively with adults in various life situations. I have experience with the effects of varying degrees of psychological symptoms, as well as the impact of different somatic illnesses and challenging life events on well-being. I am also familiar and interested in the effects of neuropsychiatric traits and working towards both self-acceptance and finding supportive coping mechanisms.
I qualified as a psychotherapist in 2020, after which I have gradually transitioned to focusing mainly on psychotherapy, especially long-term therapies with adults. Depending on the situation, I also offer appointments for shorter therapy processes (including short-term psychotherapy for occupational health and insurance clients) and for individual or less frequent supportive or crisis-oriented sessions.
In integrative psychotherapy, a client-centered approach that takes into account each individual's unique situation and personality, and the creation of a safe, collaborative relationship are key. These principles guide my work. In my practice, I strive to both follow the client's lead and guide our work towards the goals we set together. The process largely involves a joint exploration of different experiences on mental, physical, and interpersonal levels. Together, we aim to build understanding and find ways to cope with challenging emotions and situations.
