Quality metrics for mental health services
Mental Health Support services are offered to both occupational health and private customers. These services include, among others, various psychotherapies.
Depression symptoms
The PHQ-9 metric surveys the number and severity of depression symptoms experienced by the customer. The customer completes the metric at the beginning and end of treatment. If the score is below 5, no significant depression symptoms are present, and the mood is normal.
Effectiveness of therapeutic treatment
The Core-OM metric surveys the amount of psychological distress experienced by the customer and the severity of symptoms in four different areas. The metric is used to assess the effectiveness of therapeutic treatment. The customer completes the metric at the beginning and end of treatment. A score of 10 has been found in Finnish data to differentiate those undergoing treatment from the reference population. The threshold for a significant and reliable change is a 4-point change in the clinical score.
