Janne-Olli Järvenpää

CEO, M.Sc. (Econ.), MBA (Insead)

Before diving into entrepreneurship,Janne-Olli gained a decade of international experience at Bain & Co and Cisco Systems in London, Stockholm, Silicon Valley, Helsinki and the Baltic countries. He founded Mediverkko in 2001 and grew it into a company with more than 2,000 employees, before it merged with Mehiläinen in 2015. Janne-Olli has been the CEO of Mehiläinen since 2015.

Anssi Hartiala

Managing Director, Private Healthcare (M.Sc. (Tech.))

20 years of experience in business development, successful digital services development and leadership in the healthcare sector. Anssi has been at Mehiläinen since 2006.

Markku Näreneva

Managing Director, Public Healthcare (MD, specialist in general medicine)

Markku has been producing, developing and leading public healthcare services for over 20 years. Chairman of the Board of Harjun terveys Oy. Markku came to Mehiläinen through Mediverkko in 2005.

Harri Pomell

Managing Director, Social Services (M.Sc. (Tech.))

Over 20 years of experience in the social care and healthcare services sector. Experience from e.g. GlaxoSmithKline and CRF Health. Harri came to Mehiläinen through Mediverkko in 2006.

Johanna Asklöf

Medical Clinics (M.D., MBA)

Strong experience in healthcare and management in outpatient clinics, hospitals, working life services and residential care services. Previously worked at e.g. Orion Pharma. Johanna has been working at Mehiläinen since 2007.

Herkko Soininen

Strong experience in financial management and operational leadership roles. Previously worked at e.g. Rovio, Savcor, and Sonera SmartTrust. Herkko has worked at Mehiläinen since 2015.

Oskari Eskola

Extensive international experience in business development. Previous positions include Management Consultant at Bain & Company, Investment Professional at Triton Advisers and Head of Group Strategy at Tele2. Member of the Mehiläinen Board of Directors between 2015 and 2017. Oskari has worked at Mehiläinen since 2019.

Niklas Härus

Residential Care Services for the Elderly (M.Sc. (Econ.))

Experienced social care and healthcare services leader. Previous experience from e.g. Ernst & Young. Niklas came to Mehiläinen through Mediverkko in 2010.

Antti Miettinen

Occupational Healthcare Services (M.Sc. (Econ.))

Extensive experience in the service business, developing services for corporate clients and from leading sales e.g. at IBM and Ilmarinen. Antti has been working at Mehiläinen since 2015.

Markku Pikkarainen

Home and Nursing Services (M.Sc. (Econ.))

At Mehiläinen since 2015. Over 10 years of experience in the management and operational development of home services and of staffing services in social and healthcare services sector. Previously worked at Attendo Terveyspalvelut, among others.

Tuomas Polttila

Dental Care (Licentiate of Dentistry)

More than a decade of experience in the development and management of private public sector health care services. Tuomas was recruited by Mehiläinen from Mediverkko in 2006.

Andreas Taalas

Medical Clinics, northern Finland and Estonia (M.D., M.Sc. (Econ))

Andreas previously served as Regional Director at Mediverkko, where he performed clinical work in addition to administrative work. Andreas started at Mehiläinen in May 2015.

Joonas Turunen

At Mehiläinen since 2016. Diverse experience in the management of public healthcare services and managerial positions in the public sector. Previously worked in the PM’s Office, the Ministry of Finance, the Finnish Parliament, IBM and at Citibank.

Karolus Viitala

Diverse experience in management and specialist positions in marketing. Previously, Karolus worked as a partner and CEO in the Bob the Robot Group, as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, and as a marketing manager at Otto Brandt. Karolus has worked at Mehiläinen since 2020.

Extensive and diverse experience in various leadership roles with a strong international background. Previously worked as CEO at Pharmadata and Matkahuolto, and as CIO at Suomen Lähikauppa. At Mehiläinen since December 2024.

Sami Koski

Long-standing Legal Affairs Director at Mehiläinen. Experience from e.g. Kemira. Sami has worked at Mehiläinen since 2005.

Marina Lampinen

Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility (MA (Education)) (on family leave)

Extensive experience in various sectors of society, including such positions as Senior Advisor at Miltton in matters concerning public affairs and Parliamentary Assistant in the European Parliament. Marina has worked at Mehiläinen since 2019.

Laura Martinsuo

A strong and experienced communications professional. Before joining Mehiläinen, Laura held communications and marketing positions at Danske Bank and Sampo Bank, among others. She has worked at Mehiläinen since 2015.

Vast leadership experience in business, human resources and financial administration. Experience from e.g. Diacor, Finnair and Silta Ltd. Tatu has worked at Mehiläinen since 2018.

Before transferring to Finnair, she worked as a director in social welfare and healthcare for almost 15 years in both private and public sectors, for example at Sitra, Lahti city and Attendo. A member of Mehiläinen’s board since 2016. Eveliina also works as a member of Finnair Flight Academy’s, Gofore Plc and the THL Foundation board.
