Senior Integration Developer for BeeHealthy
We are on a mission to make healthcare smarter for all – healthcare providers and patients. Healthcare that is more efficient, more impactful, and more affordable. The future of healthcare is in combining the digital and physical, and empowering people to better control their health in an active and preventive manner. We know how to make it happen, but we need the brightest minds to help us succeed in our growth story.
We build scalable, multi-tenant SaaS solutions for many clients, integrating with various healthcare services and APIs. We emphasize great UX, accessibility, and maintainability, ensuring that our product provides the best possible experience for patients.
Our BeeHealthy Integration team is responsible for ensuring the BeeHealthy SaaS product integrates seamlessly with the healthcare IT stacks of our clients, which is critical for unlocking the full potential of our platform. This starts from the initial technical assessment during the sales process, and ends with delivering integrations capabilities that solve our clients needs to production.
We work in an agile, cross-functional environment, collaborating with designers, other developers and product managers. The turnover rate in our company is low, and those who enjoy fast-paced development, new technologies, and a culture of ownership tend to thrive at BeeHealthy.
In your role as Senior Integration Developer, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure integrations between our platform and different software systems (e.g., connecting our patient front door SaaS to an EHR system)
Design, build and consume APIs in the healthcare IT ecosystem
Perform data mapping and transformation between different standards (e.g., converting HL7v2 messages to FHIR resources)
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system behaviour and integration issues in production environments
Write clear technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Tightly collaborate with our internal product teams, customers and external partners to design and implement integration solutions
Must-have skills:
Experience with our baseline tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js and relational databases
Strong hands-on software engineering experience, including service-based and event-driven systems
Experience in systems integration and related patterns
Solid API design expertise: RESTful API design, OpenAPI, event-based APIs
Authentication & Security: OAuth, JWTs, and general API security best practices
Strong problem solving: you enjoy unraveling complex technical puzzles and working through ambiguity
Excellent communication: you can explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Adaptable & proactive: you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and providing feedback on priorities and project progress
Detail-oriented: especially important when dealing with sensitive health data
Excellent English communication skills (Finnish is a plus)
Bonus points for:
Experience with C#/.NET
Health Tech Experience (not mandatory, but an asset)
Healthcare Standards: `HL7`, `FHIR` (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), `DICOM`, or `CDA`. FHIR is the modern standard and a huge plus
EMR/EHR Integration: Experience with Electronic Health Record systems like `Epic`, `Cerner`, `Allscripts`, or other regional systems is highly desirable
Integration Platforms (iPaaS): Experience with platforms like InterSystems, `MuleSoft`, or open-source tools implementing integration patterns like `Apache Camel`
Knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud services are an asset
