Ilmoituksen tiedot

Do you want to work in an inspiring community at one of Europe´s leading healthcare companies? Mehiläinen is Finland's largest private healthcare provider and one of the most acquisitive healthcare groups in the Nordics. We are growing fast, organically and through M&A, and our procurement function is scaling to match. For someone who wants to build something, not just run it, the timing is right.

We are looking for Head of IT Procurement at Mehiläinen Group in Helsinki.

Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, you will be Mehiläinen's primary procurement partner to IT leadership, covering the full technology stack from SaaS and cloud to AI platforms, infrastructure, outsourcing, and cybersecurity. As Group Procurement establishes itself across the organization, you will be one of the leaders shaping what best-in-class procurement looks like at Mehiläinen: setting category strategy, building commercial frameworks, and creating lasting value from a supplier base that grows with every acquisition.

A growing priority is AI cost governance. As AI adoption accelerates across the organization, you will take ownership of enterprise AI agreements, consumption-based pricing models, and the forward forecasting that keeps AI spend under control. You will also play a key role in our M&A agenda, assessing IT supplier synergies and driving consolidation as we integrate new entities.

What you will own

  • IT category strategy across all major technology domains

  • End-to-end sourcing, negotiations, and contract management for strategic IT suppliers

  • Commercial governance of AI platform and tooling spend

  • IT procurement pipeline, renewals calendar, and savings tracking

  • Supplier performance management, vendor risk, and sustainability compliance

Requirements

You bring 7–10 years of progressive IT procurement or technology sourcing experience, with a strong track record in SaaS and software licensing negotiations. You understand the commercial mechanics of cloud and AI pricing models, and you know how to turn that knowledge into value at the negotiating table. Experience in a complex, multi-site organization is a strong plus, as is exposure to M&A environments.

Beyond the commercial expertise, you are a credible partner to senior IT and finance stakeholders. You can build a business case, present to a CFO, and hold a strategic supplier accountable, all in the same week.

  • A relevant higher education degree

  • Deep knowledge across all IT cost towers – application software and SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, outsourcing, end-user computing, network communications, and cybersecurity

  • Proven SaaS and software licensing negotiation, with a track record of cost optimization and supplier performance improvement

  • Strong financial acumen – cost modelling, savings tracking, budget management, and FP&A integration

  • Strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and category planning, backed by strong spend analytics and market intelligence

  • Ability to manage multiple complex, cross-functional projects using both structured and agile methods

  • Fluent English (written and spoken); Finnish or another Mehiläinen Group language is considered an advantage.

What we offer

A high-visibility role at a pivotal moment. Mehiläinen's procurement function is earning its seat at the table, and the Head of IT Procurement will be central to making that case, category by category. You will have direct access to CPO and CIO leadership, real influence over one of the company's most strategically important cost bases, and the satisfaction of building something that outlasts any single deal.
