Our travel physician will help you with all questions related to travel health. Our goal is for you to be able to fully focus on the experiences of your trip without unnecessary health concerns.
Vaccinations that are also important for travellers include the basic vaccines according to the vaccination programme as well as seasonal vaccines. Travellers often also need other vaccines. These include, for example, vaccines against hepatitis A and B, yellow fever, meningococcal disease, Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis (TBE).

Vaccinations are given by nurses, public health nurses and some physicians. If you know which vaccinations you need, you can book an appointment directly with a nurse. Most of our locations vaccinate both children and adults, and some also without an appointment. You can book an appointment for vaccination via our online booking. If you cannot find the vaccination you need or would like more information, please contact our customer service to ask for more details.
If necessary, the nurse can also provide instructions on over-the-counter medications and first aid supplies to take with you on your trip.
If your trip is work-related, check with your employer whether vaccinations and any other medications are covered by your occupational health care agreement. You can also contact our customer service regarding these matters, for example by phone at 010 414 0200 (local network charge/mobile charge).
We can issue travel-related certificates if needed. These include, for example:
Please bring to your appointment any certificate template or form that you need completed. Filling in your personal details on the form before your appointment will make issuing the certificate smoother.
During a travel doctor's appointment, we make sure that you have up-to-date information on the health risks of your travel destination. Our travel physicians are familiar with traveller’s health and some of them have completed a special qualification in travel medicine. The doctor evaluates your individual vaccination needs and provides instructions on hygiene, malaria prevention medication, and other travel pharmacy items, for example. In addition, you can obtain the necessary certificates for your trip. This allows you to enjoy your trip without worry.
Book an appointment well in advance, preferably at least 1-2 months before the trip. This allows enough time for the vaccines to provide the best possible protection. If the trip is already closer, you should still book an appointment.
Yes. If symptoms such as diarrhoea or fever occur after a trip, our travel physician will help determine the cause of the symptoms and plan the treatment.
The price of a travel physician's appointment is determined by the time spent and the time of the appointment. Prices may vary depending on the specialist. You can see a more detailed price estimate in the online booking by clicking on the physician's name and when booking an appointment. Please note that vaccines, for example, are invoiced separately.
