Health examinations are a great way to find out how your health and well-being are doing. During the examination, you will discuss important health topics and factors affecting your health and well-being with a nurse – as well as how you can influence them in the future. The examination is supported by the results of laboratory tests.
Important: Visit the laboratory for tests at least 5 days before your health examination appointment.
The nurse will discuss topics related to your health and well-being with you, using laboratory results as support. You will receive instructions for maintaining your health, and if necessary, a personalized follow-up plan will be created for you
The laboratory packages included in health examinations do not contain tests that require fasting. However, if you have received different instructions from a specialist, please follow them.
When you arrive at the laboratory, inform them of the name of the health examination you have purchased. You can also show the order confirmation on your phone screen if you wish. Laboratory visits are quick, allowing you to continue your day promptly.
When attending the health examination, check in at the reception. You can check in using the OmaMehiläinen app, the self-service kiosk at the location, or at the reception desk. Upon check-in, you will be informed of the room where you will be seen – proceed to the vicinity of the room and wait for your turn.
After your visit, stop by the reception desk, even if you have paid for the package in advance through the online store.
During the health examination, the focus is on matters affecting your health and well-being. Together with the nurse, you will review any existing illnesses and your lifestyle, as well as any desired changes. The nurse may also perform additional measurements (e.g., blood pressure). Laboratory test results are used as support. If necessary, the nurse will refer you to a physician or another specialist. Please note that any additional examinations are not included in the price of the health examination.
No additional costs, such as outpatient fees or Kanta fees, are charged for the visits included in the package (health examination, laboratory tests). However, any additional examinations are not included in the price of the health examination.
No, it is not possible to receive Kela reimbursement for health examination packages or the visits included in them.

We always recommend purchasing health examinations in advance from Mehiläinen’s online store. However, you can also book an appointment for a health examination directly through the appointment booking system without purchasing it from the online store. In this case, you will pay for the health examination at the reception desk according to the current price list. Please also note that laboratory tests must be completed at least 5 days before the health examination.
