I am a Finnish-American general practitioner. My native language is English, and consultations are also available in Finnish and, when needed, in Spanish.
I have over 15 years of experience in the Finnish healthcare system. I graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Latvia (Latvijas Universitate) in 2021, as a registered nurse from Turku University of Applied Sciences in 2013, and as a teacher from the University of Michigan in 2007. This background supports a practical approach and clear patient communication.
My clinical experience focuses on emergency medicine and minor trauma care, which are my strongest areas of expertise. I have broad experience in treating patients of all ages, from infants to older adults, managing both acute conditions and chronic diseases.
I approach patient care in a calm, collaborative manner, focusing on treatments that are realistic and sustainable in everyday life. I follow current clinical guidelines and am also open to discussing complementary treatment options.
I also see patients aged 65 and over under the freedom of choice model.
You are warmly welcome to book an appointment with me.
Please note: Minor procedures and medical certificates are not covered under the Kela-reimbursed freedom of choice model and are charged according to Mehiläinen’s price list.
