I am a cognitive-integrative individual psychotherapist, as well as a couples and sexual therapist. I provide individual therapy for both occupational health clients and self-referring clients. Therapy through an insurance company or as part of employment benefits is part of my services. I also offer work supervision and coaching. A combination of therapy and work supervision is also possible. As per agreements, couples therapy through occupational health is also an option. My basic education is a Master of Theology (TM) and a Master of Science in Technology (DI), supplemented with psychology studies.
Therapy generally provides help for problems, and the working method is adapted to the needs of the individual or couple. I see adult clients, over 18 years of age.
INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY: You should consider coming to my practice if you are experiencing mental strain for various reasons or if your situation has already reached a crisis point. It is possible to work through difficult events you have faced with me. I am also specialized in challenges related to ADHD. Additionally, I treat patients with sleep disorders. Problems possibly related to your work are my area of expertise; my extensive work experience provides the skills for it.
COUPLES THERAPY: You should consider coming to my practice if there are persistent problems in your relationship or it has already reached a crisis point. For example, if communication is not working and you feel there is no longer a connection with your partner. You may fear for the success of your new relationship due to past disappointments. If necessary, we can also address the entire family's situation, such as how to cope with children of different ages or the challenges of a blended family. A 2-3 session couples therapy during a separation has also proven to be useful. It is possible to get help for sexual problems that are straining the relationship.
You can come to my practice with your partner or alone.
It is possible to overcome long-standing problems or sudden crises. It is never too late to seek help. Your close circle, especially any children you may have, will also benefit from the improved situation. The required number of visits depends on the problem. Very often, the first visit, simply talking about the situation, helps.
For occupational health visits, their specific guidelines are applied. Remote therapy via Teams, which meets Mehiläinen's data security criteria, is a good option, as is a combination of remote and in-person meetings.
I do not currently provide Kela-reimbursed therapies.
