In physiotherapy, we aim to solve problems of the musculoskeletal system. The solution to all problems starts with identifying the factors that cause and maintain the problem. This requires a thorough interview and examination. The prerequisite for successful examination is that each of my clients is heard and understood.
My educational background as a manipulative physiotherapist provides a solid basis for all musculoskeletal issues. However, in physiotherapy, I have specialized in musculoskeletal problems of the lower extremities.
In this field of ??specialization, I also handle more challenging consultation cases where rehabilitation has not progressed accordingly. The content of physiotherapy is always formed individually and in collaboration with the client. When necessary, an assessment of the need for supportive insoles is also made or other healthcare experts are consulted. In cases requiring surgical treatment, I collaborate with the best foot and ankle surgeons in Finland. I am a member of the Finnish and European Foot and Ankle Surgery Associations.
The Finnish Physiotherapists Association has appointed me as a specialist in musculoskeletal physiotherapy: "A specialist is required to have strong evidence of activity as a developer, trainer and information broker in their field. The title cannot be granted based on studies or long work experience alone." - Finnish Physiotherapists.
I take great responsibility for maintaining my professional skills through continuous education. In addition, I also teach colleagues on the topics of lower limb musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
My guiding principle is that musculoskeletal problems that are not caused by an incurable disease or injury are always treatable – you just have to find the right methods.
Welcome to find out the reasons behind your problems - and solutions to them!
