I am a psychotherapist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy (contextual and process-based approach). I am a practicioner licensed by Valvira with Kela qualification. I provide individual psychotherapy for young people over 16 years old and adults at my practice.
You can book an appointment at my practice for short-term psychotherapy through occupational health services, for support and crisis sessions, or for a short-term psychotherapy period as a self-paying client. Currently have availability for new Kela clients.
I have experience in treating various mental health challenges. In cognitive behavioral therapy, the goals and treatment methods are agreed upon collaboratively with the client. In therapy, we focus on identifying and processing harmful thoughts and beliefs, learning new coping mechanisms, and practicing emotional regulation. My methods include schema therapy, Mindfulness techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) methods, problem-solving, applied relaxation, exposure, and other research-based cognitive behavioral therapy methods.
As a psychotherapist, I am compassionate, client-listening, appreciative, and goal-oriented. My areas of expertise include trauma therapy, anxiety disorders (e.g., social anxiety, OCD, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorders), as well as stress and burnout. However, I am happy to treat a wide range of mental health challenges. I also have long-term experience in career guidance, training, teaching, and psychological research. In addition to my psychotherapy degree, I have completed an MSc in Occupational Psychology at London Metropolitan University and hold Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) status in the UK. I can provide therapy fluently in both Finnish and English.
Welcome to the reception!
