Mehiläinen offers companies with fewer than 10 employees the opportunity to easily conclude an occupational health agreement online. There are two different packages to choose from, which are designed for the needs of small businesses.
The primary goal of occupational health care is to promote employees' health, work ability, and well-being throughout their careers. It aims to prevent work-related illnesses and accidents, and to identify and manage workplace risks. Occupational health care supports employees' work ability and helps them cope with their work for as long as possible. In addition, it promotes the functionality of the work community and a safe working environment.
Mutkaton occupational health enables small businesses to have an effortless and predictable occupational health service package, where an occupational health agreement can be concluded independently online. Mutkaton is aimed at companies with a maximum of ten employees, a maximum of two locations, and an exposure-free job description, meaning statutory occupational health examinations are not required. Mutkaton includes statutory occupational health care and the option to also choose healthcare services as part of occupational health. With the Mutkaton agreement, the company gets its own occupational health team that can take into account the specific characteristics of work and everyday life.
The occupational health agreement is concluded independently online, and its content and pricing are clear.
The fixed price of the occupational health agreement offers predictability. It is possible to choose healthcare services in addition to the fixed price.
An occupational health agreement can be concluded in 10 minutes in a fully digital interface.
Choose the package that suits your company's needs and easily make an occupational health agreement online.
The Mutkaton occupational health agreement is concluded online with strong identification and selection of the agreement package (Statutory or Statutory + Medical care). The digital interface also enables easy maintenance and viewing of contact information, number of personnel, invoices, and documents.
Occupational health care cooperation begins with filling out a preliminary information questionnaire in the Mutkaton service, followed by a workplace survey to map out potential support needs and health risks in the work environment. Based on this information, the company's own action plan is drawn up.
As a logged-in user of the Mutkaton service, you can at any time maintain contact information, update the number of personnel if necessary, monitor the status of invoices, and view occupational health documents.
Signing an occupational health agreement online takes only 10 minutes, freeing up time for the company's core business.
Mutkaton ensures that the company fulfills all statutory occupational health obligations.
The digital service enables easy monitoring of contact information, personnel numbers, and invoices, as well as document review at any time.
The preliminary information questionnaire and workplace survey effectively guide the preparation of the action plan.
The possibility of adding healthcare services on top of a fixed price brings flexibility and control to healthcare costs.

The company has its own occupational health team that understands the special characteristics of work and everyday life.
Quick and easy access to care digitally through a remote appointment with an occupational health nurse, saving extra time.
Statutory occupational health care is preventive and helps support general occupational well-being and identify potential health risks in the work environment.
Thanks to the workplace survey and action plan, the working environment is continuously developed to be safer and healthier.

The arrangement of occupational health care is a statutory obligation for the employer, which begins immediately upon hiring the first employee. The Occupational Health Care Act (1383/2001) obliges the employer to arrange occupational health care for all its employees, regardless of the nature and duration of the employment relationship. This means that occupational health care must also be arranged for part-time, fixed-term, or short-term employees.
Although medical expenses insurance is an excellent additional benefit and supports employees' health, it does not replace statutory occupational health care, nor does it serve the same purpose. Occupational health care and medical expenses insurance complement each other, offering more comprehensive protection for employees and benefits for the company. Medical expenses insurance generally does not cover or compensate for the examination of work-related symptoms or preventive activities.
If the employer has chosen only statutory occupational health care, ordinary medical care is not included in the agreement. The employer can, if desired, expand statutory occupational health care to cover general practitioner-level medical care and other health care services. This is voluntary and at the employer's discretion. The employee should always check with their employer or occupational health care what services their occupational health agreement precisely includes.
Yes, a workplace survey and an action plan are legally mandatory for all employers in Finland, regardless of the company's size or industry.
The workplace survey is performed by the occupational health nurse of your occupational health team. The employer's role is also central, as they have the best knowledge of the workplace conditions, job tasks, and work community.
The occupational health care action plan must be drawn up regularly and reviewed and updated as necessary. Generally, the action plan is prepared for 1-5 years, after which it is reviewed annually and updated as needed, for example, if changes have occurred in working conditions.
Yes, the employer can apply to Kela for reimbursement of necessary and reasonable costs incurred from arranging occupational health care. The reimbursement percentage and maximum amounts are confirmed annually.
No, employee health data is highly confidential, and its disclosure to the employer is strictly regulated. Occupational health services may not disclose employee health data to the employer without the employee's explicit and written consent.
