
Mehiläinen is the largest healthcare operator in the Nordic countries, and we have expanded our operations to Sweden, Germany, Estonia, and Lithuania. Our Global IT team builds networks and deploys our own devices and services.
A functional IT system is a key part of our internationalization. We provide support for IT needs in other countries both through remote connections and on-site. For example, we assist with user account management, unit integrations, and system maintenance. We assist in troubleshooting, carry out investigations, and serve as a bridge between international and Finnish IT teams.
Each country has its own unique characteristics, which form the basis for how we develop and implement our operations. Our close collaboration with local stakeholders ensures that we can adapt to various linguistic, cultural, and legal requirements.

We invest in learning and support competence development by encouraging our personnel to participate in courses, training programmes and coaching in our field. In addition, participation in conferences, seminars and other events is considered an important part of competence development. We implement annual HR processes in which we map out current competencies and assess personal competence development goals.
