Preparation for fertility treatments usually begins with an initial assessment and a discussion with an infertility specialist. During the appointment, your health history will be reviewed, and necessary examinations will be performed. The use of donated gametes requires careful planning and preparation. Before, during, and after treatments, there is an opportunity to discuss with a therapist or psychologist.
During the first appointment with an infertility specialist, the situation is assessed, and an individual treatment plan is created. After this, treatment proceeds according to the chosen method. For single women or female couples, the primary treatment method is insemination. This can be performed during a natural cycle without medication if the menstrual cycle is normal.
After the first appointment with the infertility specialist, psychological counselling related to gamete donation treatments will follow.

Once psychological counselling has been provided and the donated sperm selected, a final decision on the treatment method is made and the treatment consent form is signed. After this, treatment can begin. The success rate of insemination treatment is 15–20% each time. The probability of success depends most on the age of the person undergoing treatment. Insemination treatments are rarely successful for those over 38 years of age, which is why IVF treatment is the primary treatment method based on age in such cases.
The progress of the treatment is monitored with ultrasound scans. During and after the treatment, you can contact our staff at any time if you have any questions or concerns.
The nurse will be informed of the pregnancy test result. If pregnancy occurs, you will receive instructions for early pregnancy monitoring. If pregnancy does not occur, further actions and possible new treatment cycles will be agreed upon.
