As a speech therapist, a child-centered approach is extremely important for me and I aim to create positive experiences in therapy. Speech therapy should be a safe space where every client can come exactly as they are. I approach rehabilitation through motivational execrcises, fun, and meaningful interaction. When planning therapy sessions, I aim to incorporate each child's interests, favorite activities and games, while also maintaining a goal-oriented therapeutic focus. I value open and approachable communication with families and believe it is important to find individualized solutions, that work for each child and their family throughout the rehabilitation process.
Clients of all ages are warmly welcome to attend speech therapy with me. I have particular experience working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), multilingualism, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), speech sound disorders, phonetic errors, speech motor difficulties, selective mutism, and reading or writing difficulty. However, I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients and am always eager to learn more. I am also happy to work in English!
