Visiting Helsinki — or living here — and need a doctor for a sudden health problem? You've found one. I’ve worked as a doctor since 2010 mostly in urgent and walk-in care, and I've worked at Mehiläinen Töölö since 2018. The consultation runs fully in English.
My goal is that your problem is solved or clearly moving forward after the first visit: you leave knowing what you have, what was done and what happens next.
Book in for acute concerns such as pain, infections, respiratory and urinary symptoms, wounds, abscesses, skin and nail problems, and joint complaints. I also treat children, especially for acute infections. Your existing conditions and medications are taken into account even when we focus on one acute problem.
I usually perform minor procedures during the same visit: wound closure with stitches or glue, abscess drainage, ingrown toenail treatment, assessment and removal of skin lesions and lumps, and joint or cortisone injections as appropriate. The need for a procedure is always confirmed by examination first — and I'd rather treat one problem properly than three halfway.
No referral is needed, and you'll receive full documentation for your travel or health insurance. More at: markushuotari.fi
