I am psychologist specialising in health psychology (PhD), and psychotherapist (cognitive behavioural therapy). I have been working with children, adolescents and adults for more than 15 years in primary care, schools, clinics as well as in the private sector. Many of my clients come to therapy seeking relief from symptoms of depression, anxiety and trauma, or simply because they are seeking a new direction in life. I have also extensive experience in working with ADHD and OCD symptoms, as well as different types of fobias.
I work in Finnish and English, and have been a registered psychologist and psychotherapist in the UK (British Psychological Society, HCPC ). I enjoy working with clients from different cultural backgrounds.
As a therapist, I am active and open-minded, seeking new evidence, quality research and creative solutions to support my clients. Acceptance and commitment therapy, including mindfulness practice, is my main therapy framework. I have done research and written books on financial well-being and also support clients who wish to see change in this area of their lives.
I have experience in leadership training and coaching. To enquire about the possibility of coaching for individuals or groups, please use the contact form.
You can book an appointment for brief occupational psychotherapy, support and crisis counselling or a one-time psychotherapy session.
I am registered as a provider of rehabilitation psychotherapy (Kela register of service providers) and work with adolescents and adults over 13 years of age. Support sessions for parents are also available. Please use the contact form to find out the current availability of KELA rehabilitation psychotherapy.
