I am a specialist in psychiatry with years of experience in assessing mental health disorders and addiction problems, as well as various treatment modalities. I consider encounter and listening to be important.
I always plan treatment together with the patient, taking into account different perspectives. I assess and treat mood and anxiety disorders, psychotic and addiction diseases, and neuropsychiatric disorders.
I have worked for eight years at Helsinki University Hospital, including in neuropsychiatry and addiction psychiatry, and at the City of Helsinki Psychiatry from 2011–2017.
I graduated as a specialist in psychiatry from the University of Helsinki in 2019. I also conduct scientific research on mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. I train doctors in psychiatric diagnostics and write textbooks in the field of psychiatry. I personally enjoy spending time in nature, reading, and movies.
My native language is Finnish, and I also speak English and German, as well as some Swedish. In my practice, I perform psychiatric diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation planning, psychotherapy assessments, and evaluate work capacity and plan medication treatments.
I am familiar with both medicinal and non-medicinal treatment methods, and I can also combine them. You can come to my practice in person at Ympyrätalo in Helsinki or remotely.
For the first visit, it is often most beneficial to come in person, if possible.
I recommend booking a 60-minute appointment for the first visit. I see patients aged 16 and older.
Welcome to my practice!
You can book appointments through online booking or by calling customer service at 010 414 00 (local/mobile call charge).
If you have visited me within the last 60 days, you can also leave a call-back request through OmaMehiläinen. The visit can be paid directly by the employer's occupational health service; in all other cases, the client pays for it themselves on-site.
If the client has their own health insurance, reimbursement can be sought from the insurance after paying for the visit. If the client comes with a referral from occupational health and the employer has taken out supplementary health insurance for occupational health, the client pays for the visit themselves on-site and can seek reimbursement from the employer's insurance.
It is important to check before booking an appointment whether your own insurance or the employer's insurance covers the cost of the visit.
For those coming with an occupational health referral, it is important to check whether the company's occupational health service pays for the consultation (or remote consultation) or if the company has supplementary health insurance, in which case the client pays first.
