I am a specialist in psychiatry, with years of experience in assessing the situation and various treatment methods for mental health disorders and addiction problems. I consider encounter and listening important.
I always plan treatment together with the patient, taking into account different perspectives. I assess and treat, for example, mood and anxiety disorders, psychotic and addictive diseases, and neuropsychiatric disorders. In my practice, I perform psychiatric diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation planning, psychotherapy assessments, and evaluate work capacity and plan medication treatments
I conduct scientific research on mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder, as well as personality disorders. I educate and have written textbooks on various topics in psychiatry.
My native language is Finnish, and I also speak English and German, and understand and speak some Swedish.
You can come to my practice in person at Ympyrätalo in Helsinki or remotely. For the first visit, it is often most beneficial to come in person, if possible. I recommend booking 60 minutes for the first appointment. I see patients aged 16 and older.
Welcome to my practice!
You can book an appointment through online booking or by calling customer service at 010 414 00 (local/mobile call charge). If you have visited me within the last 60 days, you can also leave a call request through OmaMehiläinen.
The visit can be paid directly by the employer's occupational health care; in all other cases, the customer pays for it themselves on site. If the customer has their own health insurance, compensation can be claimed from the insurance after paying for the visit.
If the customer comes with a referral from occupational health care and the employer has taken out supplementary health insurance for occupational health care, the customer pays for the visit themselves on site and can claim compensation from the employer's insurance.
It is important to check before booking an appointment whether your own insurance or the employer's insurance covers the cost of the visit. For those coming with an occupational health referral, it is important to check whether the company's occupational health care pays for the consultation (or remote consultation) or whether the company has supplementary health insurance, in which case the customer pays first.
