Welcome to my practice. By training, I am a cognitive-analytic psychotherapist and trainer, a social psychologist, and a work supervisor. I also conduct psychotherapy research as a doctoral researcher and serve as a lead trainer in the Cognitive-Analytic Therapy (CAT) psychotherapist trainings at the University of Helsinki. I provide short-term psychotherapies covered by occupational health services and insurance, as well as rehabilitative psychotherapy reimbursed by Kela (the Social Insurance Institution of Finland). I am currently able to take on new rehabilitative psychotherapy clients.
As a psychotherapist, I have long and diverse experience in mental health work with a wide range of people and challenging life situations. I offer you a safe and confidential space where you can be heard as you are. My approach is active, yet always respectful of the client's individual situation and wishes. I approach each of my clients as a unique individual, and our work is based on collaboration, with the goal of finding ways that are right for you to support your well-being and improve your quality of life.
My working approach is integrative, meaning I combine different theoretical frameworks and theories. My practice also incorporates perspectives from interpersonal therapy, trauma-focused work, and emotion-focused therapy. I have particular experience in treating depression, anxiety, and social anxiety. In practice, our work begins from the very first sessions by structuring the client's situation and problematic experiences. The aim is to identify the key problem areas as accurately as possible to guide our future work. Through this collaboratively created case formulation, we can set goals for the therapy and make a plan for moving forward.
