I am a trained trauma psychotherapist and EMDR therapist (Master of Theology, Registered Nurse). I am registered with Kela as a service provider for rehabilitation psychotherapy. I see adults and young people aged 13-17.
Currently, I am unable to take on new clients for Kela-reimbursed rehabilitation psychotherapy. You can book an appointment with me for short-term psychotherapy through occupational health or an insurance company, for an individual support or crisis session, for a self-paid short-term psychotherapy period, or for EMDR therapy.
I have extensive experience working with clients in traumatic crises. I have previously worked in a hospital setting, supporting patients with serious illnesses and parents whose child has suddenly become ill. Additionally, I have strong experience in supporting those who have lost a child or another loved one, as well as in dealing with existential crises.
My areas of expertise also include processing childhood traumas such as attachment and school bullying traumas, and traumas caused by psychological and physical violence in relationships or at the workplace, as well as spiritual abuse within a family or a religious community. Furthermore, I have experience in dealing with issues related to depression and anxiety.
I have also worked extensively with individuals who have experienced single-incident traumas, such as witnessing or being in a life-threatening situation, being in a threatening/frightening situation, or failing in a demanding performance. For these issues, EMDR therapy is recommended. EMDR therapy can also be used to process future, anxiety-provoking situations.
My working approach is attentive, conversational, and active.
