I am a specialist in pediatric surgery and treat surgical problems in children and adolescents, such as various injuries, fractures, wounds, burns, abdominal pain, testicular pain, hernias, lumps, moles and other skin lesions, constipation, and enuresis.
I also have a long experience in treating general practitioner-level problems in children and adults (colds, earaches, lumps, moles, injuries, fractures, driving license and other certificates, etc.).
I previously worked full-time at the New Children's Hospital in Helsinki and in other pediatric surgery units in central hospitals within the HUS area. Other work experience includes Uppsala Children's Hospital in Sweden and Charlotte Maxeke General Hospital Trauma Unit in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have over 15 years of work experience from university and central hospitals.
I have published scientific articles on pediatric traumatology. I have served as the chief training pediatric surgeon for the entire HUS area.
Minor procedures performed under local anesthesia can be done in the procedure room during the consultation. Surgeries performed in the private sector include, for example, hernias, undescended testicles, foreskins, skin lesions, and lumps.
