I am a psychologist and a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist. I work as an individual psychotherapist for adults and young people. I have previously had a long career as a school psychologist. You are welcome to my practice if you are experiencing, for example, symptoms of depression or anxiety, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, fears, sleep problems, traumatic experiences, a difficult life situation, or any other reason for which you are seeking psychotherapeutic help. Remote sessions are also possible.
As a therapist, I am approachable, warm, present, and active. In my work, confidentiality, compassion, and equality are of utmost importance to me. I am dedicated to helping clients increase their self-knowledge and self-understanding through a calm yet active approach. I want to create a safe and empathetic atmosphere in my practice where we can work together to solve the challenges in your life. I believe it is important to consider your past learning history while also focusing on the future and new skills that can make difficulties more manageable and tolerable. I also emphasize the importance of incorporating embodiment and relaxation as part of the therapy process.
At the beginning of our work together, we will define the goals based on what you feel is relevant and important. The sessions consist of conversation, tasks, and possibly activity-based exercises. I believe it is important that the work on your issues continues actively outside of our sessions through various exercises that we agree upon together. The diverse methods of cognitive-behavioral therapy, selected according to your needs, are particularly close to my heart.
A warm welcome to my practice!
