I am Heidi, Bachelor of Social Services (2003), and I provide LAKU family rehabilitation and neuropsychiatric coaching in Uusimaa. My approach is solution-focused and functional. In my work, I utilize nature- and animal-assisted methods. My co-worker is the Australian Shepherd Halti. Meetings can be held at the clinic on Yrjönkatu in Helsinki, remotely, or in the client's everyday environment.
It is important to me to work by listening, encouraging, and motivating the client. We succeed best when we tailor our work to fit your everyday life. The goal is to discover the client’s own resources and put them fully into practice.
My core competence includes solving challenges related to interaction, emotional regulation, and executive function, as well as supporting school attendance. I have solid experience working with families, providing parental guidance, and motivating adolescents. I have also worked for a long time within child welfare and social services. Themes of the meetings can relate, for example, to schooling, time management, relationships, coping, or identifying personal strengths.
LAKU family rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation service. It is intended for families with a child or adolescent aged 7–15 diagnosed with ADHD/ADD, autism spectrum disorder, or Tourette syndrome / long-term tic symptoms. The rehabilitation is applied for through Kela, and a doctor's B-statement is required.
You can enter neuropsychiatric coaching as a self-paying client, or inquire about a payment commitment, for example from your care provider, wellbeing services county, or insurance company.
