I work as a Service Manager at Mehiläinen Therapy Services at the Paciuksenkatu clinic in Helsinki. In addition, I am involved in developing neurological rehabilitation both in the Uusimaa region and nationally within the field of demanding medical rehabilitation. Alongside leadership and development work, I also continue to practice as a therapist, which remains a great passion of mine.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social and Health Care Management and Development (Master of Health Care), and I have nearly 15 years of experience in neurological physiotherapy. Throughout my career, I have worked in the private sector in both subacute and outpatient rehabilitation settings. My special expertise focuses on spinal cord and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, progressive neurological diseases, and supporting individuals facing functional challenges caused by trauma or illness.
I value multidisciplinary collaboration and especially appreciate cross-boundary dialogue and joint development. My approach is client-centered and holistic – I meet each client as an individual, listening carefully and with respect. In my therapy work, I draw on a wide range of methods and techniques, which I tailor to each client’s specific needs. I particularly enjoy aquatic therapy and getting into the water together with my clients.
In my free time, my life is enriched by my two children and Mooses, our Labrador Retriever who has already reached retirement age. Physical activity has always been important to me, and I have played basketball for over 30 years. I love instructor-led exercise classes and all kinds of movement in the water. I also go winter swimming from time to time – it keeps the mind clear.
You are warmly welcome to my practice – it’s my pleasure to support you on your journey.
