I am a certified sports physiotherapist specializing in musculoskeletal conditions. My areas of expertise include hamstring muscle injuries as well as ligament and tendon injuries and pain conditions of the ankle, knee, and hip. I am also very familiar with the rehabilitation of youth sports injuries and stress fractures. I work with these issues almost on a daily basis.
I am actively involved in sports. Currently, I work as a physiotherapist for the national youth track and field team. In addition, at the club level, I serve as a physiotherapist for Keski-Uudenmaan Yleisurheilu in athletics and for the Puistolan Urheilijat first team in football. At my clinic, I treat athletes from a wide range of sports and competitive levels.
The goal of my clinical work is to find long-term solutions to functional limitations and to develop existing performance capacity. This does not always mean exercise guidance alone; for example, running technique analysis and development can be an integral part of the rehabilitation process. I can also design a personalized gym training program to support either sport-specific performance or general health. When necessary, I also provide manual therapy as part of an active rehabilitation approach.
I continuously pursue further education to ensure an up-to-date and high-quality rehabilitation process. My additional training includes courses by the Finnish Sports Physiotherapists Association on knee, ankle, and foot function; sports physiotherapy of the shoulder; and sports physiotherapy of the lower back, pelvis, and hip. In addition, I have completed a comprehensive strength and conditioning coach education program, as well as several sport-specific track and field courses.
