Introduction

"I work as an occupational therapist with children in Kajaani and Sotkamo. Therapy sessions primarily take place in the clients' everyday environments, such as home visits, daycares and schools. I also conduct appointments at the Kajaani office. I graduated as an occupational therapist from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in 2018 and have since completed various courses related to pediatric occupational therapy. Clients can seek my services with payment commitments from Kela, the Kainuu wellbeing services county, or insurance companies.

In my work, I emphasize utilizing clients' interests, and when working with children, I often use play as a tool to strengthen various skills and abilities. I also use alternative communication methods as needed, such as picture communication and supportive signs. I enjoy multidisciplinary collaboration with clients' speech and physical therapists, as well as other important partners. I am happy to participate in clients' daily situations, and a therapy session can be implemented, for example, as part of a school lesson or a daycare outdoor activity.

As a therapist, I am approachable and engaging. Creating and maintaining a safe and open therapeutic relationship with both the child client and their family is especially important to me. Welcome to work with me!
