I work as a speech therapist in the Kajaani urban area, as well as in the Otanmäki and Vuolijoki regions, providing mobile services. For other areas, I offer remote rehabilitation. My priority is to find individual ways for each client to achieve genuine interaction, participation, and presence in their everyday shared moments. I emphasize a community-oriented approach and actively involve the client's close ones in the therapy process. I meet my clients gently, encouragingly, and with presence, without forgetting a sense of humor. My goal is to create a safe and relaxed atmosphere where even difficult topics are easy to discuss and tense situations become easier. Clients of all ages are welcome to work with me.
I graduated from the University of Oulu in 2012 and have over a decade of experience in therapy work. I maintain my professional skills through active continuing education. I have deepened my expertise particularly in the following areas:
- AAC methods: I utilize picture communication, technical communication aids, and sign language. Integrating pictures into the client's daily life is especially important to me.
- Speech and language development: Unclear speech, speech motor skills, and delayed speech and language development.
- Other communication challenges: Adult neurological communication disorders, situational mutism, stuttering, voice disorders, intellectual disability, and autism.
I have also completed OPT and PROMPT method trainings.
Over the years, I have built strong cooperation networks in the Kajaani area, which promotes seamless collaboration for the benefit of clients.
