Mehiläinen to make its first acquisition in Germany

Press Release 15.11.2021 Mehiläinen will expand its operations to Germany by acquiring Dalberg Klinik AG, a hospital services company operating near Frankfurt. This acquisition is Mehiläinen's first step in Germany.

This acquisition will grant Mehiläinen a licence to provide both public and private insurance-based health care services for Germany’s more than EUR 400 billion health market nationwide.

After this first acquisition, Mehiläinen aims to grow its operations through new acquisitions and organic growth. The company is also certifying its subsidiary BeeHealthy Oy's e-health platform for the German market.

The share purchase agreement for the acquisition was signed on 11 November 2021, and the share transaction enters into force immediately. The Country Manager for Mehiläinen’s operations in Germany is Dr. Gerald Loos, who started in his position earlier this year.
