
EcoVadis assessment gives Mehiläinen’s sustainability work Gold rating

Mehiläinen has again achieved a gold rating in the international EcoVadis sustainability assessment. Mehiläinen’s total score was 82/100, which places the company in the top 5% of companies assessed in its sector. The recognition highlights Mehiläinen’s long-term commitment to responsible operations in all areas.
EcoVadis is a sustainability assessor that measures the environmental, social and ethical performance of companies, as well as the level of responsibility in the supply chain. Mehiläinen’s sustainability performance was assessed as advanced, reflecting a comprehensive and progressive approach to sustainability issues. Mehiläinen’s performance was particularly strong in environmental responsibility (90/100) and sustainable procurement (92/100). Good results were also achieved in the areas of labour rights, human rights and ethics.

The EcoVadis Gold rating is an important recognition of Mehiläinen’s sustainability efforts and encourages us to continue our determined efforts to make our operations even more responsible. Mehiläinen has also achieved Gold and Platinum ratings in the Ecovadis assessment in previous years.

EcoVadis
EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. The global EcoVadis network consists of more than 150,000 companies from more than 250 industries in more than 185 countries. The assessment is based on a questionnaire completed by the companies and comprehensive documentation analysed by EcoVadis. The methodology is based on international sustainability standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the UN Global Compact initiative and the ISO 26000 standard. The independent assessment is overseen by an international scientific committee. Ecovadis is one of CVC’s portfolio companies.
