What to do if you suspect you may have the coronavirus
For most people, the illness caused by the coronavirus will be mild. Those with mild respiratory symptoms should stay at home and avoid social contact.
If you develop a fever, a cough, a runny nose or body aches – stay at home until the symptoms pass.
Reducing social contact is also important for healthy people as it will help slow the spread of the epidemic.
If your symptoms get worse or are prolonged, or if you need instructions and advice, please do as follows
- Contact your occupational health physician or nurse through the OmaMehiläinen -application or online service by choosing the “Occupational Health” -tab
- If needed, you can also call our telephone service on 010 414 1848 or send a message to the OmaMehiläinen app’s Digital Clinic. Please note that our customer service and Digital Clinic are very busy right now and it may take a while to get a reply.
Mehiläinen follows THL’s instructions concerning suspected cases of the coronavirus. The instructions change as the situation develops. Those who have a suspected coronavirus infection and are visiting a Mehiläinen clinic will be directed to dedicated waiting and appointment facilities.
